Positively Plymouth is maintained by two city partners ensuring city marketing is thoroughly integrated into the strategic vision of the Local Strategic Partnership.
Destination Plymouth; Responsible for visitor marketing and experience across the whole city. It coordinates the the place management activities of the Plymouth City Centre Company, Plymouth Waterfront Partnership and Positively Plymouth. Through partnership it aims to align complementary activity of other partners to drive the City’s visitor economy.
Plymouth City Council; The City Council has adopted the shared city vision of making Plymouth into one of Europe’s finest, most vibrant waterfront cities, where an outstanding quality of life is enjoyed by everyone. The Council is therefore focused on delivering sustainable growth with inward investment, tourism and culture all key strands.
Positively Plymouth is a highly partner orientated approach and from its inception it has maintained close relationships with a number of central city stakeholders. These stakeholders are effectively the founding adopters and have been critical to the successful roll-0ut of the marketing programme.
University of Plymouth; The University mission is to be the Enterprise University. Its enterprise approach will further develop their reputation as a world-leading University and deliver sustained innovation and international impact. These objectives align very closely with the City’s and so the University are firm supporters of the Positively Plymouth branding.
Plymouth Chamber of Commerce; PCCI is a non political, not for profit organisation whose sole aim is putting Plymouth business first. It is the third oldest chamber in the country and is the predominent business community in Plymouth. The chamber is heavily involved in the day to day decision making for the city and has been a critical member of the steering group that developed the branding.
The Theatre Royal; The Theatre Royal Plymouth is the largest and best attended regional producing theatre in the UK. Alongside the theatre is TR2, the award-winning theatre production and education centre and Plymouth Pavillions, the South West’s leading entertainment and conference venue. It is a critical part of the cultural landscape of Plymouth with a strategy that shares the city’s vision for growth.
